Since 2000, I have worked with couples, families and individuals in wilderness therapy, residential treatment and outpatient clinics. I earned a Masters in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Oregon in 2005, became a Certified Gottman Educator in 2006 and earned my license in Washington State in 2009. Currently, I am working towards the credential of “Certified Gottman Therapist” through The Gottman Institute. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I ensure excellence in my practice through ongoing consultation, continuing education and adherence to the highest ethical standards as associate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (AAMFT) and the American Psychological Association (APA) as well as the State of Washington.
In addition to my private practice, I am involved in ongoing research with Seattle’s Relationship Research Institute. I am passionate about social change and advocacy and am committed to volunteering in my community. This year (2009), I founded a group to provide donations for homeless youth. Outside of the office I love cycling, hiking, traveling, reading and knitting. I live in Seattle with my partner and our five pets.
